National Curriculum
The National Curriculum sets out the Programmes of Study and Attainment Targets for all subjects at all four key stages and is compulksary for all Local Authority maintained schools:
Primary: Key Stage 1 (Years 1 & 2); Key Stage 2 (Years 3, 4, 5 & 6)
Secondary: Key Stage 3 (Years 7, 8 & 9); Key Stage 4 (Years 10 & 11)

As an Academy, Hillyfield has chosen to adopt the National Curriculum Primary framework for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
