Long Term Planning & Plans
We use the EYFS Framework and the Primary National Curriculum Framework as the basis for our long term planning. From these documents we have developed Subject and Learning Area Progression Maps that identify the Knowledge and Skills pupils will learn as they progress through the school. At Hillyfield, we also map the intended educational and learning experiences and character attributes and together makes up the holisitc curriculum of Academic Achievement and Social & Personal development through Knowledge, Skills, Experiences & Attributes (KSEA).
Two kinds of long term plans are developed in the planning process:
1) Subject Curriculum Plans (Core topics and learning objectives developed within each subject and taught across year groups);
2) Year Group Curriculum Maps (The full curriculum taught within each year group).
